The inauguration of the Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO) in Saint-Denis took place in April 2024, in an atmosphere that was both sporty and festive.
HOPSCOTCH EVENT orchestrated this inauguration, supporting the Greater Paris Metropolis and the French Swimming Federation for this grand premiere in the presence of Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic, Patrick OLLIER, President of the Greater Paris Metropolis, Tony ESTANGUET, President of Paris 2024, Amélie OUDEA-CASTERA, Minister of Sports, and Nicole BELLOUBET, Minister of National Education and Youth.

During this visit, political figures, invited athletes, and three hundred schoolchildren from the department had the opportunity to discover the new sports facility ahead of its official opening and attend the inaugural show celebrating aquatic sports.

The Olympic Aquatic Center (CAO) in Saint-Denis is a true symbol of innovation and sustainability. Built on a former industrial wasteland, the facility will initially host the artistic swimming, diving, and water polo events during the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The CAO will then open its doors to the general public, providing a sustainable and large-scale sports facility to clubs, schools, and all residents of the Metropolis.
