Japan Expo 2025

For this 2025 edition of the Japan Expo, we have envisioned an immersive 400m² space, designed as a physical extension of the SVOD platform, allowing Crunchyroll to meet its audiences “in real life” and amplify its universe among its fans, while boosting subscription conversion.

5 Unique Experiences

Each one dedicated to a flagship title of the platform, with 4 key objectives:

  • Enhance the meticulously crafted worlds of anime through immersive settings.
  • Offer exclusive interactive experiences, creating a strong emotional connection with fans.
  • Optimize visitor flow and management to ensure accessibility for the widest audience.
  • Focus on eco-design and modularity, by anticipating the reuse of structures (partitions, layouts) for future conventions.

A central space to maximize conversion

At the heart of the visitor journey, the Crunchyroll central space has been designed as a true strategic conversion lever. Exclusive reward mechanisms have been implemented to transform audience engagement into new subscriptions and immediate purchases in the Crunchyroll store.

In collaboration with Heaven

The operation was amplified on social media through the production of exclusive content: interviews, digital activations, live social wall at the booth, creating an instant bridge between the physical event and online communities.

Visitors also had the opportunity to attend exclusive meetings with iconic personalities such as the rapper Orelsan and the influencer Blacko (iamblacko), enhancing the media and emotional impact of the activation.
